Field Of Flowers
As Jim looked toward the
back of the church, he saw four people
kneeling together in prayer. Beside them
was a camera mounted on a tripod. When
they finished praying, they stood up and
walked to the altar. A blue aura
surrounded their bodies, as well. Jim
realized the four people were television
news reporters.
He remembered the vision
he'd had on his first journey to Africa,
when a messenger of God told him of
future events.
"Many people will find Jesus," the messenger said,
"directly because of the food they
receive. Many more will have their eyes
opened because of the influence of news
media and word of mouth."
Suddenly Jim heard the
humming sound that heralded a vision.
Blackness filled the church, as if night
had fallen. Not a person could be seen
and not a sound could be heard. Jim
didn't know if other people shared his
vision, or if God had a message for him
alone.
A glow formed around the
television equipment, like a spotlight
from heaven. Jim heard a click, and heard
the film rewinding in the camera. When
the film finished rewinding, he heard
another click. A television screen
appeared in the darkness, floating
suspended in air. A blue glow filled the
inside of the screen. Jim heard another
click and the camera began to project
images onto the television screen.
On the television, a female
journalist holding a microphone said,
"This is Sharon Simanally, and I'm
in Angel Town, Africa." Jim could
see the church behind her as she talked.
"Everywhere you find people,"
she continued, "you find news. Here
in Angel Town is a story about one man's
desire to help the African people."
The scene behind the
reporter changed and a full view of the
hospital filled the screen. "Angel
Town was built by millionaire and
Christian convertee, Jim Brown. Sources
inform SORTA News that Jim Brown was sent
to Africa by God on a mission to feed the
hungry and house the homeless, to care
for the sick and clothe the poor."
The reporter pointed to the surrounding
buildings. "I personally have seen
good things in Angel Town."
