Chapter 23 - Page 331 - Field Of Flowers

Reverend Morris stepped in front of the altar to meet Rhasha, reaching out to take her hand. Rhasha looked up at Reverend Morris, but something behind him caught her attention-a ten-foot tall white cross. Rhasha remembered that the soldiers nailed Jesus to the cross.

   The congregation still sang: "
I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see."

The song ended, and a hush fell over the congregation. Rhasha knelt in front of the altar and, as she began to pray, everyone in the church sank to their knees.
"My Father in heaven, I beg you to forgive me of my sins and have mercy on my soul."

Rhasha envisioned God sitting on his throne, with Jesus sitting on his right-hand side.
"Father, I repent of my sins and I promise to serve you as long as I live. I love you, Father, and I love Jesus." She could feel the warmth of the Holy Spirit hugging her. Again she wept.

"Father," she whimpered, "I'm so sorry for my part in Jesus' crucifixion. I know he died on the cross for my sins. Use me, Father, to show others the way to salvation. In Jesus' holy name, I pray. Amen."

Everyone, including Rhasha, stood, feeling comforted by the Holy Spirit-their tears had dried. Reverend Morris shook Rhasha's hand and held her hand between both of his as he said, "Rhasha, I'm so happy about your choice today. I know you will make God very proud of you."

A hundred and eighteen people gathered around the altar, or as close to it as they could get. They all professed Jesus as their Lord and Savior, making every person in the church who was at the age of understanding a child of God.

Jim kissed Rhasha's hand and pressed it hard against his cheek. He sensed something different about her-a blue aura surrounded her body. He looked at the people gathered around the altar. They all had blue auras around them, too. Jim looked across the church. Every pew was empty. He was excited to see all God's children gathered around the altar.
