Field Of Flowers
The voice ceased, but Jim
continued seeing visions. He saw things
in heaven that nobody had ever seen
before. Everything he saw was beautiful
and everlasting.
Rhasha could hear the
now-familiar humming sound. When it
ceased, she could see a hole through the
straw roof of the church. Four angels in
the sky held a window into heaven open.
Inside the opening was a bright white
glow that reflected off the sides of the
window. Rhasha could see something that
looked like a large chair in the middle
of a beautiful room, and she knew it was
the throne of God. Sitting on the throne
was the figure of a man, limned in a
bright light different from any light
Rhasha had ever seen, a light of pure
white. Above the bright light was a
rainbow of many colors that Rhasha didn't
recognize. In front of the light, a
multitude of white-robed people sang its
praises.
A lamb sat on the right-hand
side of the bright light. A wooden sign
hung over the lamb's head. Rhasha didn't
know how to read, but she was made aware
of what the sign said: This is
Jesus, King of the Jews.
The lamb began to transform.
It stood on its hind legs and began to
grow. Its back legs took on the shape of
a man's legs; its front legs became arms
with hands and fingers. A white robe
draped its body, flowing to its ankles,
and sandals encased human feet. Its face
became a man's face. A bright light
glowed behind the man, radiating from him
in every direction. As the man descended
from heaven toward the church, angels
sang a heavenly song.
Rhasha knew it was Jesus.
As Jesus descended from
heaven, things around Rhasha began to
change. The straw-thatched church and all
the people faded away. Everything became
dark. When it grew light again, Rhasha
had been moved. She now stood all alone
in a field of colorful flowers that
extended as far as she could see.
