Field Of Flowers
"Good-bye tears, forever flow.
Could my zeal, sustain and hold. These
for sin could not atone. Thou must save
and thou alone."
The sky rippled. It was as
if a wave had rolled from the east and
rushed across the clouds. Everything
became still, as if Angel Town were in a
time warp. Lightning flashed through the
sky and thunder rumbled far and wide. A
ferocious storm evolved. The congregation
shifted uncomfortably.
The sound of the music was
now mixed with the sound of the pounding
rain. "In my hand, the price I
bring, simply to your cross I'll
cling."
Suddenly everything went
silent. Not even the singers could be
heard. Jim looked across the
congregation. He could see the singers
singing, but he couldn't hear the music.
The singers were standing on a white,
puffy cloud that was as big as the
platform. They each wore a crown on their
head. Everyone in the congregation was
sitting on fluffy clouds too, wearing
golden crowns and white robes and holding
palm branches in their hands.
The singers' mouths were
moving and Jim assumed everyone else
could hear them singing, but he was
wrong. Every person in the congregation
shared his vision.
A booming voice invaded
Jim's thoughts. "Jim," the
voice said, "this is a special day
for Angel Town."
"Sir," Jim said,
"I don't understand this vision. Is
God trying to show me something?"
The messenger replied,
"The vision you see is just to
occupy your mind. You think everyone is
listening to the singers, but the gospel
group isn't even singing. Those in the
church are having different visions.
God's children are having the same kind
of vision you are, but Jesus is speaking
to all the nonbelievers."
"Is Jesus speaking to
Rhasha?"
The voice paused for a second.
"Jesus is speaking to all the
nonbelievers. This day, Rhasha's name
will be added to the lamb's book of
life."
