Chapter 11 - Page 158 - Rhasha Goes Flying

He put his arms around Rhasha and kissed her. Her tears dried up and she regarded him with a serious look on her face. “What is it? Is something wrong? Is it your health?”

“My health is fine. This isn’t about me, it’s about you.”

Rhasha frowned in puzzlement. “It’s about me? Am I in bad health?”

Jim grinned. Rhasha would know if she was in poor health. Then he sobered and said, “When I was on the plane coming to Africa, I had a dream.”

Rhasha’s expression shifted to one of curiosity. “Was it a bad dream?”

“It was actually a vision, Rhasha,” Jim replied, “and I’m afraid it showed me something that will happen. In the vision, you were flying alone in a twin engine plane. You were by yourself.” He paused. “You crashed into the side of a mountain.”

Rhasha thought a moment, then brightened. “OK Jim,” she said, “if I never fly a plane by myself, then your vision can never happen.”

“Well, what if I . . . somehow fell out of the plane? You would be alone.”

Rhasha laughed and put her hand on Jim’s knee. “What if, what if.” She giggled.    “Why don’t we just make sure you keep your seat belt on?”

Jim had remained serious, but now he realized how ridiculous he sounded. He chuckled. “OK, Rhasha. We’ll make sure I keep my seat belt on.”

They helped each other up and walked toward the jeep.

“One more thing, Jim,” Rhasha said. When he looked at her, she yelled,
“What did you mean, you jumped out of airplanes? Were you crazy?”
