the
floor. Then she descended until her feet
rested flat on the floor.
The humming sound rose,
pulsated for a few seconds, then faded
away. Rhasha was now conscious and
standing in front of Jim.
She smiled at him and held
out her arms, beckoning him to come to
her. Jim walked up to her, but
didnt know if he could touch her.
When Rhasha put her arms around his neck,
he slipped his arms around her waist. She
pulled Jim close to her.
Her bright eyes gleamed.
Tears formed in Rhashas eyes. For
the first time, she spoke. I love
you, she said in a voice so
beautiful, it threw Jim completely off
guard.
He had no strength left in
him. Rhasha, he said,
youll never know how much I
love you.
They held each other tight.
Rhashas parents eased toward her.
They touched her on her shoulder and
back. Jim and Rhasha released each other.
As Rhasha kissed Thamish and Thasha, Jim
lowered his head. He closed his eyes and
gave thanks to the one and only God.
Rhashas brother Robby
had remained in bed. Now, attracted by
the strange sounds coming from
Rhashas room, he ran into the room
to see his beautiful sister standing in
the middle of the floor. Tears streaming
down his face, Robby ran toward her.
Robbie couldnt understand what had
happened to his older sister, but he
hugged her tight for a long time, as
though he didnt want to turn her
loose.
A spiritual feeling filled
the room. Thamish, Thasha, Robbie, and
Rhasha sat on Rhashas bed with
their arms around each others waist
and began to talk about the past.
