Chapter 4 - Page 40 - 2000 Acres

A warmth entered his body. It tingled all over. His soul was now one with God. Overcome with the feeling, Jim began to cry. Tears ran down his cheeks. “Father, I want to please you more than anything in the world. Please love me, Father,” he whimpered, “and let me always feel the love I feel right now.” Eyes still closed, he raised his arms as if he were reaching for God.

The warmth Jim felt inside began to envelop him on the outside. Something that felt like arms wrapped around him and held him tight. Jim could hear a voice softly whispering in his ear,
“Jim, I love you so much that I gave my only son for you, and I will always love you.”

Jim lost all his strength and his arms fell down to his sides. All that held him up was the warm love that surrounded his body. He was aware of his surroundings, but he felt like he was somewhere else. It felt like heaven. Jim bathed in the warmth of the Holy Spirit.

“Father,” Jim said, “I appreciate what Jesus did for me and I will always love him, too. I pray these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

The Holy Spirit released Jim’s body so he could slip back into the pool. Jim began treading water to stay afloat. He could hear the humming sound rising, thrumming for a few seconds, and then fading to nothing. The soft blue glow remained, but Jim thought it was a reflection from lights somewhere around the pool. He continued to feel the warmth of the Holy Spirit. He didn’t realize it then, but he would have that warmth for as long as he lived.
