Chapter 21 - Page 295 - Lost In The Woods

Darkness fell in the woods and all Shanha could do was cry. She hid herself in some bushes for the night.

A voice thundered through the vision as if amplified through speakers.
"Jim," the voice boomed, "what you just saw happened over a year ago. It's how Shanha became a patient at the Angel Town Hospital."

As the voice spoke, Jim looked up. A window had opened into heaven and he could see a bright glow illuminating a throne room. Jim knew the voice was coming from there.

   The voice thundered,
"Shanha found a village, but no one could keep her. She wandered for almost a year, eating anything she could find." A rainbow formed over the brilliant light that emanated from the throne. "Shanha was only six years old. She eventually became to weak to look for food. She survived only on scraps that were given to her."

   Jim thought,
Why didn't anyone take care of Shanha?

"People gave her all they could," the messenger continued, reading his thought, "but they were too poor even to feed themselves."

Jim remembered what Shanha had looked like when she was in the hospital. "Messenger, is there a reason you're showing me these things?"

After a short pause, the voice spoke again.
"Jim, Shanha was the reason it was urgent for you to go back to Africa."

When Jim heard what the messenger said, he knew something was wrong. "Messenger, can you tell me what's going to happen to Shanha in Africa?"

   The messenger replied,
"Shanha's mother has been searching for her in every town. She searched for over a year and just recently discovered Shanha had been in Angel Town. She knows Shanha went to America and is waiting in Angel Town for her to come home."

Jim was saddened by the news. He knew he was about to lose one of the people he loved most in the world. But he also knew it was only proper and righteous for Shanha to be with her mother. "Sir," he said, "this news is going to break Rhasha's heart. Could God erase her memory of Shanha?"
