Chapter 3 - Page 23 - Africa Bound

A booming voice entered Jim’s dream. Jim knew it came from heaven. The dots with the faces kept changing.

“Jim,” the voice thundered. Immediately Jim could see a small image of himself standing in front of the blueness and the dots with the faces. “The blueness you see is heaven. The dots with faces in them are people whose names
will be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. The faces are those of the people who will be led to salvation because of the work God sent you to do in Africa. Many of them will find Jesus directly because of the food they receive. Many more will have their eyes opened because of the influence of the news media and word of mouth.”

Jim was dumbstruck, but found the energy to ask, “Sir, I conclude that you are not God, but you are . . . of the heavenly host?”

“I came not to deceive you, Jim,” the voice replied. “I am not God; I was sent to reveal these things to you. To help give you strength to do your work diligently and without faltering.”

“Sir,” Jim replied, “I don’t know what to do when I get to Africa.”

The voice boomed, “Be not concerned; God will show you the way.”With that, the voice was gone, and the dots with the faces disappeared. The image of him vanished. The blueness was all Jim could see. Even that began to fade, as if it were becoming transparent. Jim glimpsed something else behind the blueness.
