Chapter

- Rhasha Drives
When you are unhappy, the
devil wears a grin, but oh he's much too
lonely when the light comes crawling in.
I know he'll be unhappy cause I'll never
wear a frown. Maybe if we keep on
smiling, he'll get tired of hanging
around. If I forget to say my prayers,
the devil jumps with glee, but he feels
so awful, awful, when he see's me on my
knees. So if your full of trouble and you
never seem to win. Just open up your
heart and let the sunshine in. So let the
sunshine in. Face it with a grin. Open up
your heart and let the sunshine in.”
Jim and Rhasha sang two
more songs as the children listened
quietly. At the end of the fourth song,
Jim made an announcement. “OK,
children, Rhasha and I are getting
sleepy. It’s time to go to
bed.”
A flurry of voices called
through the darkness, “Good night,
Papa. Good night Rhasha.”
“Good night,
everyone,” Jim and Rhasha yelled
back.
“You can come back
tomorrow night,” Jim added.
“We’ll sing for you every
night, if you want us to.”
The children left Jim’s
yard and scampered home. Jim and Rhasha
snuggled into their bed and went to
sleep.
