Shanha Talks To
Jesus
Shanha looked at Jim.
"Papa," she said, "Jesus
held his arms out to me and told me he
loves me. I told him I love him, too. I
want to go tell Reverend Morris."
Tears welled up in Jim's
eyes. He kissed Shanha on the forehead.
Shanha stepped into the aisle and began
her walk to profess Jesus as her savior.
Francis already knew the Lord, but wanted
to be with Shanha. They held hands as
they walked down the aisle together.
Jim and Rhasha looked at
each other. Rhasha knew what Jim wanted
her to do. She believed in God and she
knew Jesus must be God's son, but to her,
a dead man couldn't save anyone.
Jim and Rhasha began to sing
the last verse. Just as I
am, I will receive. Will welcome, pardon,
please, relieve. Because your promise, I
believe. Oh lamb of God, I come, I come.
Because your promise I believe, oh lamb
of God, I come, I come."
All the chosen told Reverend
Morris that Jesus came to them in a
vision. Jesus told them he was the way to
everlasting life. They all said Jesus
told them he would always be with them.
Shanha was very sad about what happened
to Jesus and promised him, in a silent
prayer, that she would always love him.
Reverend Morris prayed with
the new children of God. He told them he
would be back to preach every Saturday
morning, and invited the congregation to
attend the Angel Town services every
Sunday. He explained to the new
Christians that people who believe in
Jesus must be baptized. He asked them if
they wanted to be baptized today, or wait
until next Saturday. Eager for the new
experience, all the new Christians asked
to be baptized as soon as possible.
