Louisiana Law
A few seconds later Jim,
Rhasha, and Shanha found themselves
sitting in the truck, which was parked
beside a large building. Jim was sitting
in the driver's seat, and Rhasha was
sitting in the passenger seat. Shanha was
sitting on the bunk in the back.
They looked around in
disbelief. Jim tried to determine where
they were. "I don't believe
it," he said. He climbed out of the
truck and turned all the way around in a
circle, holding his hands in the air, as
if he were dancing.
Rhasha and Shanha climbed
out of the truck and ran to Jim.
"What's the matter, Jim?"
Rhasha asked.
"Look around you,
angel," Jim replied. "Where do
you think we are?"
Rhasha and Shanha looked
around. Excitement filled their faces.
"We're home!" Shanha said.
"We're back in Dallas."
Jim raised his face toward
heaven. He could feel the sun on his face
and a cool breeze in his hair. Creating a
mental picture of God sitting on his
throne with Jesus at his right side, Jim
began to pray. Rhasha and Shanha bowed
their heads.
"Father," he said,
"please forgive me of my sins and
have mercy on my soul. Thank you, Father,
for all the things you have done for us.
I know a day will come when you will call
us to heaven, and death will no longer be
our enemy. That will be a great day and a
great blessing.
"Father, I pray for the
four officers who did us wrong. Please
speak to their hearts and show them the
right way. I love you, Father, and I pray
these things in the name of Jesus.
Amen."
Rhasha and Shanha raised
their heads and opened their eyes. Jim
continued to view a mental image of God
sitting on his throne. Jesus sat on his
right-hand side. A few seconds later he
opened his eyes and raised his head.
As they rose and walked to
the truck, Rhasha was thinking about
Jesus. She wished with all her heart that
she could understand the things Jim
taught her about God's son.
