Flying To America
Now Rhasha pretended to get
angry at Jim. The problem is . . .
sir . . . I dont know how to
make coffee! But
since youre so smart, you make
it. With that, Rhasha sat down and
scowled theatrically.
Jim unbuckled his seat belt
and rose. He took Rhashas hat off
her head and put it on his head.
Wheres your name tag, young
lady? he asked. Youre
going to lose your job over this.
My name is
Kathy, Rhasha said, and
Ill have you to know, the captain
and I are very, very good friends.
Rhasha almost cracked up when she said
that.
He took the tray out of her
hand and went to the kitchenette area.
Chuck had already made coffee. Jim filled
a cup with the black brew. He pulled two
colas and two cartons of orange juice out
of the refrigerator and placed everything
on the tray, then placed the tray flat on
the palm of his hand. He placed his other
hand on his waist.
Rhasha couldnt help
but smile at the man she loved. Anyone
else would have seen an older man with
thinning hair, wearing a suit and tie,
acting silly. What Rhasha saw was the
most wonderful man shed ever known.
Jim minced down the aisle
and stopped beside Jackie. Would
you like something to drink, sir?
Yes maam.
Jackie smiled. Could I get a cup of
coffee, please?
You certainly can,
sir. Jim grinned as he handed the
cup of coffee to Jackie. And thank
you, sir, for flying the skies with
Jims Airlines.
Jim looked at Simbatu.
Would you like something to drink,
sir?
