The Village Has A
New Name
The
ambulance pulled off the road behind the
jeep. Jim, Rhasha sobbed,
I promise to do those things too,
but I still dont understand how
Jesus, who died, can cause people to live
forever.
Jim smiled confidently at
her. Someday you will feel the
presence of Jesus in your heart. He may
or may not speak words to you, but you
will know he is speaking to you. Then you
will understand.
Shanha leaned forward and
thrust her face between Jim and Rhasha.
She rested one arm around Rhashas
neck and her other arm around Jims
neck. As Rhasha cried, Shanha pulled Jim
and Rhasha toward her until all their
heads touched. They all kissed each other
at the same time.
Attempting to change the
mood, Shanha began cutting up with
Rhasha. Mama, did Papa make you
sad?
Rhasha smiled back with
tears in her eyes. She winked at Jim.
Yes sweetheart, Papas a mean
papa.
Rhasha and Shanha each put a
hand to their lips and giggled. Rhasha
reached over and gently slapped Jim. She
put the jeep in gear and pulled back onto
the roadway with the ambulance behind.
Within minutes, they arrived at the
airport.
Jims company jet was
parked in front of a rented hangar,
already fueled and ready to go. Mario and
Chuck had been at the hotel for over a
day and were well rested. The jeep and
ambulance both came to a stop next to the
jet.
When Rhasha saw the company
jet, her expression turned to
astonishment. Jim, do you own that
plane?
