Raymonds reply surprised Jim.
Im a Christian myself, and I
think God already gave you the answer to
your question.
Jim thought about what
Raymond said. I dont
understand.
Raymond looked at him in the
rearview mirror. Maybe God thinks,
if you feed a hungry mans stomach
with food . . .
Jim understood what Raymond
meant. He finished the sentence Raymond
had started. Then maybe you could
feed a mans hunger that he
didnt know he had. A spiritual
hunger.
Raymond nodded. You
got it, boss.
Thank you,
Raymond. Jim lowered his head and
gave thanks to God.
As the company limo got
closer to the airport, Jim opened his
window so he could get a better view of a
jet coming in for a landing. The
giants wheels gently touched the
ground, and it rolled down the runway
until it stopped. Seconds later, another
jet taxied down the runway to start its
flight.
The only thing separating
the airport from the highway was a
chain-link fence. Outside the fence was a
graveled area where people could pull off
the road to watch planes take off and
land. Jim asked Raymond to stop the car,
and the chauffeur immediately complied.
Jim owned a small twin
engine plane. As a pilot, he enjoyed
watching other pilots displaying their
skills. Now as he watched, he remembered
the few times he and Christine had flown
off together on vacation. That was the
only quality
