Chapter 12 - Page 168 - Village Goes To Work

Then the sky cleared, and a window into heaven appeared. Jim, eyes still closed, raised his head toward the window. Rhasha knelt beside him.

A pale blue glow surrounded Jim and Rhasha. The soft humming sound rose again. It pulsed for a few seconds, then faded and stopped. Not a sound could be heard. Everything moved as if in slow motion. The breeze became calm.

Everyone stopped what they were doing. The men who’d been mowing grass turned off their mowers. All the workers looked toward the hospital. They saw Jim and Rhasha bathed in the blue glow. They knelt on the ground and put their hands together.

Rhasha glanced up and saw all the workers kneeling with their faces turned toward heaven and their hands clasped together. She could see a light blue glow surrounding everyone who was kneeling. Those who weren’t yet kneeling also saw the blue glow around them and fell to the ground and put their hands together as well. Rhasha closed her eyes and began to pray.

A nurse opened the hospital door and looked across the village. She saw all the people kneeling and the blue glow surrounding them as they prayed. A thin beam of light shot from every worker’s head toward heaven. She looked up, and saw four angels in the sky, holding a window open. The beams of light went through the window and into the throne room of God. She dropped to her knees and began to pray. Soon a beam of light shot toward heaven from her blue-limned body.

His eyes still closed, Jim didn’t see the beams of light. As he prayed, he formed a mental picture of God, sitting on his throne. Jesus sat at his right hand side. “Father,” Jim said, “please forgive me for my sins and have mercy on my soul.
