- Talking Eyes
“Who’s the
charming cowgirl, Jim?” Jackie
asked.
“This is Rhasha,”
Jim said. “Isn’t she
beautiful?”
“I’ll say,”
Jackie replied, “but what
happened?”
“Well Jackie, do you
remember how God healed your car?”
Jackie nodded.
“Strange thing,
Jackie. It turns out, he can heal people,
too.” Jim and Rhasha smiled as
Jackie chuckled.
“Oh,” Jackie
said. “I was talking about her
mental condition.”
Rhasha tried to kick him,
but he was too far away. Jackie
didn’t seem surprised that Rhasha
was healed. He knew what God could do.
“Let’s go into
the dining hall to eat,” Jim
suggested. “This bag of bones is
getting heavy.”
Rhasha threw her right arm
up in the air as she held on with the
other. “Yahoo!” she yelled.
“Let’s go.”
Jackie walked beside Jim
and Rhasha as they entered the dining
hall. Rhasha was still on Jim’s
shoulders. Her parents and brother had
finished eating and were getting ready to
leave. When they saw Rhasha jumping up
and down on Jim’s back, they all
laughed.
“Rhasha,” Thamish
said, “what are you doing to
Jim?”
“This is my
horsy,” Rhasha said, “and
I’m breaking him in.”
